The Course Ocean in a Drop was offered during the fall of 2025. It was a three-month course, held weekly on Thursdays between 7 pm and 9 pm. The participants were a dedicated group who attended even in severe winter weather. The group actively engaged, taking part in all the activities, providing insights as the course moved forward.

Heba AbdulRehaman
Pharmacist

This course was a transformative experience for my internal landscape. It provided me with the tools to look inward and gain a much deeper understanding of my own feelings and motivations. What I found most profound was the application of the Quran to modern life. I learned how to bridge the gap between sacred text and daily relationship dynamics, allowing me to navigate my interactions with others through a lens of faith and clarity

Sarah Khan: BCom: Assistant Manager/ Islamic Financing

This course was incredibly grounding. It helped me realize that the emotions I experience are not wrong—they were also felt and expressed by people mentioned in the Qur’an, which brought a deep sense of comfort and normalization.

I also gained clarity on how to define my emotions, recognize patterns, and better understand my reactions.

The role-play exercises were especially helpful, as they allowed me to step back and view situations from an outside perspective.

Overall, a powerful and insightful experience.

Shadab Rana: MD, MPH

This course was a true eye-opener and really helped with recognizing and understanding personal emotions, how these affect our own behavior and how our emotions affect the behavior of others around us.

Uzma Farooqui: MBA, Customer service and project management

This course on Islamic psychology deeply transformed how I understand mental and emotional well-being. It showed me that in Islam, mental health is not limited to thoughts and behavior, but also includes the heart and soul. Through concepts like nafs, qalb, and tawakkul, I was encouraged to reflect more honestly on my inner struggles and emotions.

Before this, different parts of my life—faith, emotions, and daily challenges—felt disconnected. This course helped me bring those pieces together and see how they all relate. I began to understand that my struggles are not flaws, but meaningful parts of my growth.

It has changed the way I approach life, helping me respond with more balance, patience, and trust in Allah’s plan, while striving to grow and become a better slave of Allah SWT.
